Eye care for the preschool and children
Preventive intervention is an important aspect
for children of all ages. Preschoolers who present with unusal behavior
such as eye rubbing, preferential looking with one eye, difficulties
with schoolwork and so on, should have a visual assessment to rule
out disturbing ocular problems. Early detection of refractive error
and converging or diverging eyes may make an enormous difference
in its visual prognosis and the treatment of amblyopia (lazzy eye).

The Charity Eye Clinic
This
clinic receives any patient referred by the medical and paramedical
professional to provide primary assessment. If considered eligible,
patients will be referred to the appropriate subspecialty eye clinic
and only norminal charges will be made at all subsequent visits.
This fulfils our pledge to provide the best of eye care to the widest
spectrum of our population including the financially disadvantaged.
